Situated in Martinborough just over an hour from Wellington, Prodigal Daughter Gourmet Lodge is five minutes stroll from the village centre in the heart of Martinborough Village, home to many of New Zealand’s top wineries.

Prodigal Daughter Gourmet Lodge is owned and run by Rachel Priestley, a chef with many years experience in Italian and French cuisine including being a charcuterier, culinary skills mastered from her two decades away from here.

Four course dinners are available by appointment and subject to availability during your stay. Prices are $120/pp for a four course meal, add $75/pp for a wine match. Two day Taste Martinborough packages are available on request. 

A complimentary glass of bubbles and nibbles are offered for any guest present at aperitif time. Continental breakfast is included in our daily rates.

At the lodge you will not only have your in-house chef but you will invariably be met and welcomed by Mia the resident in-house miniature fox terrier and may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Fortunata, the lodge cat.
